Little House in the Battlefield. This house went through the wear and tear of war. It has seen too many soldiers come and go, too much pain and destruction. But as I come back here time after time from the front lines, I'll keep this house in my heart. This little house in the battlefield.
I started this project a few weeks ago. I initially brought the kit from a mini store in Gettysburg PA (great store by the way) about half a year ago, but I wanted to keep it until I have developed better painting skills since I want it to look really good even from just my point of view. The kit came with the actual house, a wounded soldier in a stretcher, a radio man, a motorcycle guy, and other odds and bits to make it more authentic.

Chimney needs a little work... |
To get to this point I base coated the whole thing a dark shade of tan. Then I lightly brush the walls using a dark brown. You can see that on the right I used up too much brown, and didn't get the same effect as I had it on this wall:

First wall I painted and it was awesome. |
I redid the process and got better results. I continued by painting the corrugated metals a camo cover, and some boxes. The road post comes next after the motorcycle dude. I still have plenty more boxes plus the radio and injured guy. Looks pretty good so far? Thanks for reading, your comments are always welcome.
