Heresy, what it is, what it means to you, and how to avoid it.

Heresy is anything that deviates from the Imperial dogma. The Imperial dogma is 'WORSHIP THE EMPEROR', therefore if you do anything except worshiping the Emperor you will be labelled as a heretic. Being a heretic means you're an enemy of the Imperium. Being an enemy of the Imperium means you will be chased down by the Adeptus Administratum. Being chased down by the Adeptus Administratum means they will send SPESS MEHREENS. Having SPESS MEHREENS sent after you means you will die. THIS IS WHY YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE A HERETIC!!!

Well actually here's an alternate version... Being a heretic will make you do bad things. If you do bad things really badly Chaos Gods will notice you. If Chaos Gods notice you, you will be even badder. If you are badder then you will do badder things. If you do badder things you will become a Chaos Champion. If you become a Chaos Champion you will do the baddest of the bad things. If you do the baddest of the bad things you might become a Greater Daemon. If you become a Greater Daemon the Grey Knights will be sent after you. If the Grey Knights are sent after you you will die. BUT GREATER DAEMONS NEVER REALLY DIE WHICH MAKES YOU IMMORTAL!!!

So if you want to become a heretic might as well be the worst of them, you might gain immortality that way. Of course gaining immortality in such ways might lead you to either, kill endlessly for all eternity, plagued with the sickest of sicknesses for all eternity, have- never mind this is better left unsaid and leave it that that, or make overly elaborate plans for all eternity, or all of this at the same time. So this is a horrible way to live, and you might be better off dead then to have this happen to you, but still a life is a life.

So that's about what heresy is and what it means to your life, and now to ovoid it. Well truth be told, you can't really avoid heresy since it's anything but worshiping the Emperor. But you may prolong your life by hiding your heresy in these ways:

• Join the Imperial Guard (of course this wouldn't prolong your life, and you'll have more chances of having your heresy be taken care of by the commissar)
• Become a SPESS MEHREENS (this is highly improbable unless you 1. live in a death world 2. survives your teenage years in the said world 3. live through the selection process 4. is strong enough to carry the awesome pauldrons)
• Become a controllable psyker (never mind, if you want to die this is your way to go, but being a psyker itself is an act of heresy, so NO BECOME PSYKERS)
• Isolate yourself in a forgotten world way to the galactic east and get om nom nommed by the 'Nids
• Isolate yourself in a forgotten world anywhere in Ultima Segmentum and get hacked to pieces by Orks
• Isolate yourself in the eye of terror and die in a thousand of ways repeatedly
• Isolate yourself- Never mind do not isolate yourself to have your heresy be hidden, getting executed for heresy is way better then to die in any way said above.
• Isolate yourself in a church for the rest of your life and never come out, that way you'll never stop worshiping the Emperor MIGHTY IS HE.

tl;dr YOU CAN NEVER AVOID HERESY, IT'S PART OF THE WHOLE GRIM DARK THING.
